How easy it was to get to my room.
I didn't get my state discount.
Staff was friendly and free shuttle to airport
Cleanliness, location, amenities, and power went out for over 2 hours!!
Quite atmosphere, which is key. Relatively good value for the money. Proximity to Trustmark Park and Jackson.
Furniture was kind of beat up. It was clear that furniture (that was moveable) wasn't moved during the last room servicing because a M&M was under a chair. Bed had a visible sag in the middle. Painting (aqua shade) in the stairwell visibly shows the building age.
The only thing I can say I liked was the fact it was close to the ballpark.
There was mold in the bathroom - the ceiling, where the faucet came out of the wall, the whole tub. When I closed the shower curtain, there was an old washcloth hanging from the rod. The hotel was muggy and hot, like the air didn't work properly. The elevator had a wonderful artwork of a four letter curse word and male genitalia. The receptionist was not very accommodating when we told her the problems.
room smelled like a boy's higH school locker room. Desk clerk went to the room with me and she smelled it as well. She checked several other rooms and they had the same odor. She gave us a can of air freshener and since we were only staying over night we just stayed.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Parking problem and entrance was poorly marked.
My elderly mother needed a room with a walk-in shower & you had one.
We don't like rooms with units that are not thermostat controlled. The roar of the unit all night long keeps us from waking up refreshed. This is major.
Low profile toilet not suited for men would not stay again for this reason
I know the hotel was a non-smoking hotel, but our room had a strong order of smoke. The staff was great and the hotel was very clean. The breakfast was better than the breakfast at the Hampton Inn we stay at the next night. Other than the smell in the room and the broken elevator(when we arrived- it was fixed) it was a nice place to stay- very clean.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable.
We checked out by 7:30 am to get to an early softball game. I had to call the clerk 3 times who was in the back, before anyone came out to help with checkout.
Convenience to restaurants and fueling stations. Quiet even though close to interstate.
Location convenient but neighborhood was dinghy, causing some concern that our car might be broken into.
